Mrs. Thiesse's kindergarten class has been working with rekenreks in math class. Rekenreks is a math manipulative similar to an abacus, which help children develop number sense.

Mrs. Soderten's class ended their unit on the legislative branch with a mock congress where 4th hour was the House of Representatives and 5th hour was the Senate. Both worked on passing food bills through Congress in order to have a "Congressgiving" meal together. After numerous "killed" bills, both classes finally agreed on chips & dip, pizza, homemade desserts, punch, and a space-mermaid-shark themed party which they enjoyed together today.
