It was a great April Family Fun Night last night!! To clarify, we do have a May Family Fun Night so we hope you can make it then too. The May Family Fun Night will be the last one held at the school, but we will continue doing our summer Family Fun Nights at Cedar Creek Park.

Activities Director, Mat Mahoney, recognized this year's Triple A winners at the April 11 school board meeting. Solveig Senf and Cooper Steuber are senior students who have excelled in the areas of Academics, Athletics, and the Arts throughout their high school careers. Following graduation, Solveig will be attending St. Olaf College to study biology and economics and to play golf. Cooper plans to attend South Dakota State University and complete studies to become a nurse practitioner.

At last night's school board meeting, high school spring play director, Sara Gudahl, shared information about the upcoming production of "Alibies." Alibies is a "Who Done It" mystery that will be performed on Saturday, May 6, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Thirty-six students are involved in this performance . Five of those students were present at the meeting and shared some highlights about the role they play: Morgan Martinson, Jaelynn Pierce, Megan Wheeler, Lauren Wheeler, Kira Murphy.

Big Ideas USA was on site to offer skill trades for our Jr. High students through simulators & virtual reality equipment. Students directly experienced welding, bandsaw use, and working heavy equipment. Thank you Big Ideas USA for this experience for our students.

Martin County KnowHow put on the 3rd and 4th grade VEX Robotics tournament today at Fairmont Elementary. We are super proud of our eight FES teams. Three of them brought home medals for being a part of the top three scoring alliances in the finals!
6th grade Battle of the Books went GREAT! It was so much fun seeing 6th grade participate! Our teams ended in 1st, 3rd, and 5th place (out of 5 teams).
