ECFE's regular class schedule starts this week!! There's still time to register if you haven't yet. We'd enjoy having your child and an adult caregiver come to class. Also, if you refer a family who ends up registering for class, you will be entered into a drawing for some FREE Family Fun Night punch cards ($25 value). The 8th grade students engaged in a leadership lesson from Mr. Brian Willie. Weekly leadership lessons are provided to all 8th grade students. High school students are being mentored by Mr. Willie in order to serve as supports within the classroom & to mentor individual students.

Super fun 1st class!! Our NEW class for families with kindergarten through 2nd graders was great!! This is going to be such a fun group. We have room for 5 more students. Every class, each family will get to bring something home to keep that will either make their parenting job easier or more fun 👏🏻😊👏🏻 Call Kari at 507-235-6205 if you want to join this once a month class.

One of our NEW classes for kids and parents of Kindergarten through 2nd grader is starting this week!! We have a few spots left if you still want to register. It meets the 2nd Thursday of every month from 5:30-7pm. 1/2 the class is parent/child time doing special activities together and the other 1/2 is parenting time while the kids stay with our teachers and aides. Call 235-6205 to register!

New Parent & Child Classes for K-2nd Graders
Did you know we are offering two new classes for caregivers of Kindergarten through 2nd grade children? One class meets on the 2nd Thursday each month and is for both caregiver and child. 1/2 the class will be one-on-one time doing special activities with your child and the other 1/2 will be discussing parenting issues/concerns, just the adults, while the children do activities in the classroom with our wonderful teachers. The other class meets online about 3 times/month to discuss parenting issues/concerns and is FREE!! To register for either of these classes, please call Kari Buntjer in the office at 507-235-6205. Hope you can give one of these new classes a try!!
Our Parent Educator, Sandy Soelter, will be available at Fairmont Elementary school this Tuesday, Sept. 5th and Wednesday, Sept. 6th for questions about ECFE and/or the classes we're offering this year. Stop by her table straight ahead after you enter Door #1 at FES anytime from 8am-Noon or 1-4pm. Registration for all classes begins on the 5th. Hope to have you join us!!
Incoming 7th grade students experienced a great learning opportunity at Orientation to familiarize themselves with the building, staff members and student leaders, and ask questions. We look forward to seeing you all at the Open House on September 5!

The Activities Fair for Wednesday, August 23 has been moved to the H.S. main gym from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The Pep Fest and Tami's on the Ave/Gerhardt Catering has been cancelled.
**REMINDER ECFE FAMILIES** Due to the excessive heat warning in effect through Thursday, we will be canceling the ECFE family event for tonight at Cedar Creek Park.
