Congratulations to our Spelling Bee medalists! Our top 3 spellers are:
1st Place – Brea Ervin – 6th grade
2nd Place – Annabelle Watson – 6th grade
3rd Place – Brooklyn Pittman – 5th grade
Brea and Annabelle will both advance to the SCSC Regional Bee at South Central College in North Mankato to vie for a chance to advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in the Washington, D.C. area. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Fairmont Elementary will be hosting the Annual Spelling Bee Tuesday, January 23rd. Please encourage your child to enter this event. In addition to improving students’ spelling skills and increasing their vocabularies, spelling bee participation provides valuable experience in developing poise — a necessary skill for success in public speaking, performing arts and athletics. The Spelling Bee is for all students in grades 5 - 8.
• The top TWO spellers will go on to the SCSC Regional Spelling Bee
Tues, Feb 20th at South Central College in North Mankato.
• The champion of the Regional Spelling Bee will advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.
A study list will be emailed (to provided address below) when registration is received.

Interested in theater? The Jr High Play will hold an informational meeting on Thursday, December 14th at 7pm in the PAC at FHS. If you are interested and unable to attend, reach out to Ms. Gudahl or Mrs. Bleess for information. This play is open to all students in grades 6-8.
FHS GAME DAY ACTIVITIES!
Jr High Student Council will be hosting a semi-formal dance for all 7th and 8th graders on Dec 9, 2023 from 8:00pm-10:30pm in the Commons. Cost for admissions is $5.00/person. You do not have to dress up for the dance to attend. This dance is only for 7th and 8th grade students
