As the new school year approaches, Fairmont Area Schools is excited to once again host Cardinals Give Back Day on Friday, November 6, 2026, with a make-up date of Friday, November 13.
Building community is one of the cornerstones of Fairmont Area Schools. Throughout the year, our community supports students by attending events, donating, participating in fundraisers, and promoting our schools. Cardinals Give Back Day is an opportunity for our students to return that support by getting out into the community and lending a hand.
We are seeking personalized service projects for students at Fairmont Jr./Sr. High School. Residents, organizations, and local businesses are encouraged to submit projects such as fall cleaning, winter preparation, window washing, yardwork, landscaping, garage or basement cleanout, and other appropriate home or property improvement projects. Students may also assist throughout the community at parks, senior living facilities, downtown locations, and other community spaces.
The more project applications we receive, the greater the impact our students can have!
How to Participate
Those interested in having a project considered should complete one of the short applications below by Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

Applicants will be notified during the last week of October if their project has been selected.
