The Fairmont High School robotics team, the 2847 MegaHertz, is currently competing at the FIRST Championship 2026 in Houston, Texas. The event runs from April 29 through May 2 at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
Team 2847 earned its place at the world championship after a strong 2026 season. At the championship, the team joins hundreds of teams from across the globe in a multi-day competition that tests robot performance, strategy, and collaboration.
