Students from Ms. Gudahl’s Midwest Literature course had the opportunity to meet and hear a presentation from Minnesota’s Award-Winning author Kao Kalia Yang.
Students read Yang’s novel The Latehomecomer in class, which details the Hmong refugee experience and chronicles her family’s journey to Minnesota. The opportunity was made possible through an invitation from Dr. Anita Gaul & Melinda Stewart, and hosted by Minnesota West Community & Technical College.
