About Me:

Hello! My name is Sydney Handevidt and I am a special education teacher at Fairmont Elementary School. Originally from the Blue Earth area, I am excited to be teaching and living in the area that I have grown up in.

Following my high school graduation from Blue Earth Area High School, I continued my education at Southwest Minnesota State University where I received my undergraduate degree in both Elementary Education and Special Education. I then received my graduate degree in Special Education from Southwest Minnesota State University.

I truly love what I do — especially having the opportunity to work closely with my students and learn alongside them every day.

Outside of the classroom, you can find me traveling, camping, reading, and spending quality time with friends, my husband, and our family.

During the school year, the best time to reach me is before the school day, prior to 8:00, and after our school day has ended, after 3:00.
